Vologda Oblast (Roushie: Вологодская область, tr. Vologodskaya oblast; Template:IPA-ru) is a federal subject o Roushie (an oblast). Its admeenistrative center is Vologda. Population: 1,202,444 (2010 Census).[6] The lairgest ceety is Cherepovets, the hame o the Severstal metallurgical plant, the lairgest industrial enterprise o the oblast.
Vologda Oblast is rich in historic monuments, such as the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery, Ferapontov Monastery (a Warld Heritage Steid) wi the frescoes o Dionisius, medieval touns o Velikiy Ustyug an Belozersk, an baroque kirks o Totma an Ustyuzhna.
