Leningrad Oblast (Roushie: Ленингра́дская о́бласть‎, Leningradskaya oblast) is a federal subject o Roushie (an oblast). It wis established on 1 August 1927, although it wis no till 1946 that the oblast's borders haed been maistly settled in their present position. The oblast wis namit efter the ceety o Leningrad (nou Saunt Petersburg).

The oblast is bordered bi Finland in the northwast, Estonie in the wast, as well as five federal subjects o Roushie: the Republic o Karelie in the northeast, Vologda Oblast in the east, Novgorod Oblast in the sooth, Pskov Oblast in the soothwast, an the federal ceety o Saunt Petersburg in the wast.
