Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (Roushie: Яма́ло-Нене́цкий автоно́мный о́круг, Yamalo-Nenetsky Avtonomny Okrug; Template:Lang-Nenets), is a federal subject o Roushie (an autonomous okrug o Tyumen Oblast). Its admeenistrative center is the toun o Salekhard. Population: 522,904 (2010 Census).[5]

The region an aw accoonts for 12% o Russia's ile production.[12] The region is o utmaist importance tae Roushie's lairgest company Gazprom, whose main production fields are locatit there. Novatek – the kintra's seicont lairgest gas producer – is an aw active in the region, wi its heidquarteres locatit in Tarko-Sale.
