Sakhalin Oblast (Roushie: Сахали́нская о́бласть, Sakhalinskaya oblast) is a federal subject o Roushie (an oblast) comprisin the island o Sakhalin an the Kuril Islands. The oblast haes an aurie o 87,100 square kilometer (33,600 sq mi). Its administrative center an the lairgest ceety is Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Population: 497,973 (2010 Census).[5]
