Tbilisi (Georgie: თბილისი, Template:IPA-ka Template:Audio-IPA, literally "Warm Spring") is the caipital an the lairgest ceety o Georgie, lyin on the banks o the Mt'k'vari (Kura) River. The name is derived frae an early Georgian form T'pilisi an it wis offeecially kent as Tiflis (ტფილისი) till 1936.[1] The ceety covers an aurie o 726 km² (280.3 square miles) an haes 1,480,000 inhabitants.
