The Republic o Tatarstan (Roushie: Респу́блика Татарста́н; Tatar: Татарстан Республикасы) is a federal subject o Roushie (a republic) locatit in the Volga Federal Destrict. Its caipital is the ceety o Kazan, whilk is ane o Roushie's lairgest an maist prosperous ceeties. The republic haes mairches wi Kirov, Ulyanovsk, Samara, an Orenburg Oblasts, an wi the Republics o Mari El, Udmurtie, an Chuvashie, as weel as wi the Republic o Bashkortostan. The unoffeecial Tatarstan motto is: Bez Buldırabız! (We can!).[13] Population: 4 000 084 (2022 Census).[7]
Terminology
