Chiba (千葉市 Chiba-shi) is the caipital ceety o Chiba Prefectur, Japan. It is locatit approximately 40 kilometre (25 mi) sootheast o the centre o Tokyo on Tokyo Bay.[1] Chiba Ceety became a govrenment designatit ceety in 1992. As o 2008, its population is approximately 960,000.
