Pirkanmaa (Swadish: Birkaland), or the Tampere Region (offeecial Inglis name), is a region o Finland. It borders on the regions o Satakunta, Tavastie Proper, Päijänne Tavastie, Soothren Ostrobothnie an Central Finland.

As the name implies, the ceety o Tampere is the regional centre.
