Akaa (Swadish: Ackas) is a toun an a municipality in Pirkanmaa, Finland. It wis creatit on Januar 1, 2007 whan the toun o Toijala an the municipality o Viiala wur unitit intae ane toun. The municipality o Kylmäkoski wis consolidatit wi Akaa on 1 Januar 2011.[5]
The convert haes a population o 16,453 (28 Februar 2023)[2] an covers an area o 314.38 square kilometre (121.38 sq mi) o whilk 21.24 km2 (8.20 sq mi) is watter.[1] The population densitie is 56.13 inhabitants per square kilometre (145.4/sq mi).
Akaa, as weel as the toun o Toijala an the umwhile municipality o Viiala, are situatit bi the lake Vanajavesi, whilk is the maist central wattercourse in the Tavastie Proper region as weel as in the soothren pairts o the Pirkanmaa region.
