Umm al-Tuyour (Arabic: أم الطيور) is a toun in northwastren Sirie, admeenistratively pairt o the Latakia Govrenorate, locatit north o Latakia on the Mediterranean coast. Nearby localities include Al-Shamiyah an Burj Islam tae the sooth, Ras al-Basit an al-Badrusiyah tae the north. Accordin tae the Sirie Central Bureau o Statistics, Umm al-Tuyour haed a population o 1,101 in the 2004 census.[1] Its inhabitants are predominantly Alawites.[2]
