Lemland is a municipality o Åland, an autonomous territory o Finland.

The municipality haes a population o 2,130 (28 Februar 2023)[2] an covers a aurie o 965.30 square kilometre (372.70 sq mi) o which 852.23 km2 (329.05 sq mi) is watter.[1] The population densitie is 18.84 inhabitants per square kilometre (48.8/sq mi).

The municipality is unilingually Swadish.

History

The kirk in Lemland wis biggit in the 13t century an haes waw paintins frae the 14t century. The kirk is dedicatit tae Bridget o Swaden.

Durin the Finnish War in 1808 the Swadish king Gustav IV Adolf haed his heidquairters in the Lemland parsonage.[5]
