Charentsavan (Armenie: Չարենցավան, Romanizit as Ch’arents’avan, Ch’arants’avan, Čarenc'avan, an Choentsavan; umwhile namit Lusavan till 1967) is a ceety locatit in the Kotayk Province (marz) o Armenie. Its population o 19,708 fowk at the 2001 census haes syne declined. The ceety wis foondit in 1948, an renamit in 1967 in honor o the poet Yeghishe Charents.[1]
