Adjara (Georgie: აჭარა [ɑtʃʼɑrɑ] ( listen)), offeecially the Autonomous Republic o Adjara (აჭარის ავტონომიური რესპუბლიკა; [ɑtʃʼɑris ɑvtʼɔnɔmiuri rɛspʼublikʼɑ] ( listen)), is an autonomous republic o Georgie.

Adjara is locatit in the soothwastren corner o Georgie, bordered bi Turkey tae the sooth an the eastren end o the Black Sea. Adjara is a hame tae the Adjar ethnic subgroup o Georgies.

Adjara is kent as Ajara, Adzhara, Ajaria, Adjaria, Adzharia, Achara, an Acharia an aw. Umwhile Adjara wis kent as Acara unner Ottoman rule. It became the Adjarian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic (Adjar ASSR) unner the Soviet Union.
