Lilla Edet Municipality (Lilla Edets kommun) is a municipality in Västra Götaland Coonty in wastren Swaden. Its seat is locatit in the toun o Lilla Edet.
The present municipality wis formit in 1971, when the mercat toun (köping) Lilla Edet (institutit as late as 1951) wis mergit wi Flundre (pairt o), Inlands Torpe an Lödöse.

The lairgest employer in Lilla Edet Municipality apairt frae the govrenment is the paper mill "SCA Hygiene Products AB Edet Bruk", wi some 500 employees. It haes been in operation for some 120 years, an is best kent the day for its manufacturin o the toilet paper brand "Edet", available in ivery store in Swaden.
