Orust Municipality (Orusts kommun) is a municipality in Västra Götaland Coonty in wastren Swaden. Its seat is locatit in the toun o Henån, wi an approximate population o 1,800.
The municipality includes Swaden's third lairgest island Orust an some ither sma adjacent islets. The year-roond population o aroond 15,000 increases significantly in the simmer due tae an influx o simmer vacationers.
The umwhile municipal entities on the island Orust an adjacent minor islands wur groupit intae lairger units in 1952 an unitit intae a single municipality in connection wi the naitionwide municipal reform o 1971.
