Mellerud Municipality (Melleruds kommun) is a municipality in Västra Götaland Coonty bi Lake Vänern in Swaden. Its seat is locatit in the toun o Mellerud.
The amalgamation leadin tae the present municipality teuk place in 1969 when "auld" Mellerud (institutit as a mercat toun (köping) in 1908) wis mergit wi Bolstad, Kroppefjäll an Skållerud. Afore the municipal reform o 1952 there wur ten entities in the aurie.
