Hammam Wasel (Arabic: حمام واصل, spelt Hamam Wasil an aw) is a toun in northwastren Sirie, admeenistratively pairt o the Tartus Govrenorate, locatit northeast o Tartus. Nearbi localities include Ayn al-Sharqiyah an al-Bayda tae the wast, Baniyas tae the northwast, Annaza tae the north, an al-Qadmus tae the northeast, Masyaf tae the east, Wadi al-Oyun tae the sootheast, al-Shaykh Badr tae the sooth an al-Qamsiyah tae the sootheast. Accordin tae the Sirie Central Bureau o Statistics, Hammam Wasel haed a population o 1,801 in the 2004 census. It is the admeenistrative centre o the Hammam Wasel nahiyah ("sub-destrict") which contained 12 localities wi a collective population o 8,522 in 2004.[1] The indwallers are predominantly Alawites.[2]
