General Zaragoza is a municipality an toun o the northeastren Mexican state o Nuevo León. It is locatit in the sooth-eastren pairt o the state. The municipality haes a total aurie o 508 square mile (1,315 sq km) an haed a population o 5,942 in 2010. Maist o the population lives in the toun o Zaragoza. The elevation o Zaragoza is 4,520 feet (1,379 mts).[1] Zaragoza is bordered bi Aramberri, on the sooth an east bi Hidalgo, Tamaulipas, an on the wast bi Doctor Arroyo.

Zaragoza is namit in honor o General Ignacio Zaragoza who focht against the French invaders at the Battle o Puebla on 5 Mey 1862.

Zaragoza is at the heid o the semi-arid valley o the Rio Blanco (White River), the uppermaist pairt o the Soto La Marina River seestem. Some o the heichest muntains o the Sierra Madre Oriental are in the Zaragoza municipality. Cerro Zaragoza which rises tae 11,352 feet (3,449 mts) is three mile northeast o Zaragoza toun. Cerro Peña Nevada, 11,682 feet (3,562 mts) is nine mile soothwast o Zaragoza town, juist athort the border in Tamaulipas.[3] Pine an Oak forests cloak the muntains.
