[eedit | eedit soorce]Daniel Campos province is ane o saxteen provinces in the Potosí Depairtment. It is locatit atween 19° 25' an 20° 50' Sooth an atween 66° 49' an 68° 47' Wast. It borders Oruro Depairtment in the north, the Republic o Chile in the wast, Nor Lípez Province in the sooth, an Antonio Quijarro Province in the east.
The province extends ower 240 km frae east tae wast an 180 km frae north tae sooth.
Geography
[eedit | eedit soorce]The province is situatit in the salt flats o soothren Altiplano, mair nor 65 % o the province bein covered bi Salar de Uyuni. Salar de Uyuni is situatit at an average level o 3,657 m amsl, the heichest pynt o the province is Alto Totoni (5,740 m) in Cordillera Sillaguay on the Chilean border. The climate is that o an arid heich muntain region, wi yearly precipitation o belaw 200 mm, even less nor 100 mm in the extreme wast. Average daily temperaturs are 0 tae 5 °C aw ower the year.
