The territory o the municipality is 906 km². Širvintos Ceety, 5 touns – Bagaslaviškis, Čiobiškis, Gelvonai, Kernavė, Musninkai an 485 veelages are in the municipality. Forests occupee 27.7% o the whole region’s territory.
