Yala (Thai: ยะลา) is the soothrenmaist province (changwat) o Thailand. Neebourin provinces are (frae north-wast clockwise) Songkhla, Pattani an Narathiwat. Yala is the ae land-locked province in the sooth o Thailand. The soothren pairt haes mairches wi Kedah an Perak o Malaysie.

Etymology

The name Yala is actually the Thai transliteration o Jala (Jawi: جال), its oreeginal Malay name means 'net'. The province is forby kent as Jolor (Jawi: جولور) in Patani Malay leid.
