Calcium hydroxide, tradeetionally cried slaked lime, is an inorganic compoond wi the chemical formula Ca(OH)2. It is a colourless crystal or white pouder an is obtained when calcium oxide (cried lime or quicklime) is mixed, or "slaked" wi watter. It haes mony names includin hydratit lime, biggers' lime, slack lime, Choona (wird used in Indie, Pakistan an Afghanistan), cal, or picklin lime. Calcium hydroxide is uised in mony applications, includin fuid preparation. Limewatter is the common name for a saturatit solution o calcium hydroxide.
