Blyth (Inglis pronunciation: /ˈblaɪθ/ "blithe") is a toun an ceevil parish in sootheast Northumberland, Ingland. It lees on the coast, tae the sooth o the River Blyth an is approximately 21 kilometres (13 mi) northeast o Newcastle upon Tyne. It haes a population o aboot 35,818.[1]
