The Model A wis replaced bi the Ford Model C durin 1904 wi some sales owerlap.
The car came as a twa-seater runaboot or fower-seater tonneau model wi an option tae add a tap. The horizontal-muntit flat-2, situatit at the amidships o the caur, produced 8 hp (6 kW). A planetary transmission wis fittit wi twa forward speeds an reverse, a Ford signatur later seen on the Ford Model T. The caur weighed 1,240 lb (562 kg) an coud reach a top speed o 28 mph (45 km/h). It haed a 72 in (1.8 m) wheelbase an sauld for a base price o US$750 (equivalent tae $18100 today)..
