Hilden is a ceety in the German state o North Rhine-Westphalie. It is situatit in the Destrict o Mettmann, 10 km (6.21 mi) wast o Solingen an 15 km (9.32 mi) east o Düsseldorf on the richt side o the Rhine. It is a middle sized industrial toun wi a forest an numerous attractions.
The Mayor is Birgit Alkenings, who teuk office in 2014. She wis a candidate o the Social Democratic Pairty o Germany (SPD).
