Cañar is a province in Ecuador. The caipital is Azogues. At the time o census 2005 the province haed a population o 221,045. [1] It contains the 16t-century ruins o Ingapirca, the best-kent Inca settlement in Ecuador an a product o their conquest o the indigenous Cañari.
