Al-Tawani (Arabic: التواني) is a toun in soothren Sirie, admeenistratively pairt o the Rif Dimashq Govrenorate, locatit northeast o Damascus in the Qalamoun Muntains. Nearbi localities include Ma'loula tae the northeast, Hawsh Arab an Assal al-Ward tae the north, Hillah tae the sooth, an al-Qutayfah tae the sootheast. Accordin tae the Sirie Central Bureau o Statistics, al-Tawani haed a population o 2,446 in the 2004 census.[1]
