Abernethy (Scots Gaelic: Obar Neithich) is a veelage in Perth an Kinross, Scotland, situatit 8 mi (13 km) sooth-east o Perth. It haes ane o Scotland's twa survivin Erse-style roond touers (the ither is at Brechin, Angus; baith are in the care o Historic Environment Scotland). The touer stand 74 ft (23 m) heich, an it is possible tae climb tae the tap, uisin a modren metal spiral staircase (the touer oreeginally haed several firthen floors linkit bi ladders). The touer wis evidently built in twa stages (shawn bi a chynge in the masonry), an probably dates tae the 11t-early 12t centuries.[3]
