Talgar Destrict (Kazakh: Талғар ауданы) is a destrict o Almaty Province in Kazakhstan. The admeenistrative centre o the destrict is the toun o Talgar.[1] It consists o a alluvial apron formit bi the Talgar River, extendin northwairds frae the glacier peaks o the Trans-Ili Alatau (toppit bi Talgar Peak, 4,973 m), a extension o the northren flanks o the Tien Shan Muntains. Population: 170,221 (2009 Census results);[2] 132,692 (1999 Census results).[2]
