John Raleigh Mott (Mey 25, 1865 – Januar 31, 1955) wis a long-servin leader o the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) an the Warld Student Christian Federation (WSCF). He received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1946 for his wirk in establishin an strenthenin internaitional Protestant Christian student organisations that wirked tae promote peace. He shared the prize wi Emily Balch. Frae 1895 till 1920 Mott wis the General Secretar o the WSCF. Intimately involved in the formation o the Warld Cooncil o Kirks in 1948, that bouk electit him as a lifelang honorary Preses. His best-kent book, The Evangelization of the World in this Generation, acame a missionary slogan in the early 20t century.[1]
