Idina Kim Menzel (/ɪˈdiːnə mɛnˈzɛl/; born 30 Mey 1971) is a American actress an sangster-sangwriter. She rose tae prominence when she oreeginatit the role o Maureen Johnson in the hit Broadway muisical Rent, a role which she reprised for the 2005 featur film adaptation o the muisical. She receivit a Tony Award nomination in 1996 for her performance in Rent.

Menzel is kent for her recurrin role o Shelby Corcoran on the muisical comedy-drama telly series Glee, the 2007 Disney movie Enchanted an as the voice o Elsa the Snow Queen in the 2013 Disney animatit film Frozen an aw, which is the heichest-grossin animatit film o aw time, in which she sang the Academy Award-winnin sang "Let It Go".
