Höganäs Municipality (Höganäs kommun) is ane o 290 municipalities o Swaden, in Skåne Coonty in the soothren pairt o the kintra. Its seat is locatit in the ceety o Höganäs.
The rural municipality Höganäs, in which the first municipalsamhälle (a kynd o burgh managin matters o urban character) o Sweden haed been established in 1875, receivit the title o a ceety in 1936. In 1967 it wis mergit wi Väsby. The present municipality was created with the reform in 1971 when the ceety wis amalgamatit wi Brunnby an Jonstorp.
The municipality is locatit on the Kullen peninsulae, the extreme pairt o which is kent as the natur reserve Kullaberg hill, wi the picturesque veelages o Mölle an Arild. The natur reserve is an Important Bird Aurie o Swaden an a location o several rare plant species.[3]
The Kullen Lichthoose, the maist pouerful lichthoose in Scandinavie, is located on the wastren point of Kullaberg. The natur reserve is hame tae a series o firthen structurs alang the coastline an aw, which wur begun bi airtist bi Lars Vilks in 1980, an which hae become kent as Nimis. This is a tourist attraction despite being unauthorisit bi the Swadish authorities an therefore no markit on maps or signpostit.
