Cotoca is a canton an municipality o Andrés Ibáñez Province in Santa Cruz Depairtment, Bolivie. The municipality consists o twa cantons - Cotoco itsel an Puerto Pailas. In 2010 it haed an estimatit population of 23,951 for the canton and 56,451 for the municipality.[1]

In 1799, the Catholic Kirk authorisit the biggin o a shrine tae the Virgen de Cotoca, an image o Mary (mither o Jesus) that wis seen in the toun. The Virgin is nou the patron saunt o the entire province o Santa Cruz an her feast frae 8 tae 15 Dizember draws thoosans o Bolivies.[2]
