Banff Naitional Pairk /ˈbæmf/ is Canadae's auldest naitional pairk, established in 1885 in the Rocky Muntains. The pairk, locatit 110–180 km (68–112 mi) wast o Calgary in the province o Alberta, encompasses 6,641 km2 (2,564 sq mi)[3] o muntainous terrain, wi numerous glaciers an ice fields, dense coniferous forest, an alpine landscapes. The Icefields Parkway extends frae Lake Louise, connectin tae Jasper Naitional Pairk in the north. Provincial forests an Yoho Naitional Pairk are neighbours tae the wast, while Kootenay Naitional Pairk is locatit tae the sooth an Kananaskis Country tae the sootheast. The main commercial centre o the pairk is the toun o Banff, in the Bow River valley.
