Vas (pronounced [ˈvaːs]) is a smaw veelage on the left bank o the Kolpa River soothwast o Fara in the Municipality o Kostel in soothren Slovenie. The aurie is pairt o the tradeetional region o Lawer Carniola an is nou includit in the Sootheast Slovenie Statistical Region.[2]
History
[eedit | edit soorce]The Vas–Fara volunteer fire depairtment became a foondin unit o the Kočevje municipal fire depairtment on 28 August 1955.[3]
Cultural heritage
[eedit | edit soorce]Thare is a smaw chapel-shrine in the dounset dedicatit tae the Virgin Mary. It dates tae the early 20t hunderyear.[4]
