Türkmenbaşy, or Turkmenbashi in anglifee'd spellin, literally "Heid o aw Turkmens," is a term coined bi Saparmurat Niyazov that wis uised in several contexts:

• A title Niyazov bestoued upon hissel durin his lifetime term as Preses o Turkmenistan frae 1991 tae 2006

• The name o several ceeties in Turkmenistan renamed bi Niyazov, the lairgest o which is Türkmenbaşy, Balkan Province, umwhile kent bi the Russian name Krasnovodsk.
