In 2012, Turkis Deputy Prime Meenister Ali Babacan veesitit Singapore where he met wi Singapore Preses Tony Tan, Deputy Prime Meenister Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Meenister o Foreign Affairs K. Shanmugam an Meenister for Trade and Industry Lim Hng Kiang. The twa leaders agreed tae further deepen bilateral cooperation across different sectors includin trade, investments an finance. During the meetings, the leaders acknowledged the excellent state o bilateral relations atween Singapore an Turkey. Babacan warmly welcomed Singapore's intention tae open an embassy in Ankara later that year. They awso exchanged views on regional developments in Asie an the Middle East.[5]

H.E. Preses Erdoğan, then in his capacity as Prime Meenister, veesitit Singapore on 8–9 Januar 2014. H.E. Prime Meenister Lee veesitit Turkey on 12–15 October 2014. Prime Meenister H.E Binali Yıldırım paid an offeecial visit tae Singapore on 21–22 August 2017.[1]
