P'yŏngch'ŏn-guyŏk (Pyongchon Destrict) is ane o the 19 guyŏk (poleetical destricts or wairds) o Pyongyang, North Korea. It is bordered bi the Taedong River in the sooth an the Potong River in the north an wast, an tae the east bi Chung-guyok, from which it is separated by the railway. It wis established as a guyŏk in October 1960 bi the Pyongyang Ceety Fowkcommittee throu a mandate o the Central Committee o the Wirkers' Pairty o Korea. It is probably best kent as the location o the P'yongchon Thermal Pouer Station, which is the electricity source for Pyongyang's central neebourheids an aw. It is the location o the Mansudae Airt Studio an Schuil an aw, the Pyongyang Jang Chol Gu University o Commerce, the Pyongyang University o the Printing Industrial Airts an the Korea Okryu Combination Corporation. For internaitional visitors, it is the location o the Pothong Hotel an the Ansan Chodasso Guest Hoose.
