Mors Principium Est (Laitin for "daith is the beginnin") is a Finnish melodic daith metal baund formit in 1999.
History
[eedit | eedit soorce]The baund wis formit in 1999 in Pori, Finland bi sangster/lead guitarist Jori Haukio, guitarist Jarkko Kokko an keyboardist Toni Nummelin. Drummer Mikko Sipola joined in late 1999, suin follaed bi the arrival o new vocalist Ville Viljanen in early 2000 when Haukio decidit tae focus on his guitar wirk. Bassist Teemu Heinola wis no appointit till efter the baund's first demo, Before Birth, which attractit attention frae French record label Listenable Records in 2001.[1]
Ane year an twa demos later, Mors Principium Est signed a three-album contract wi Listenable Records completit bi the album Liberation = Termination released in Mairch 2007.[2][3]
The baund annoonced on Aprile 25t, 2007 the new lineup o the baund. Karri Kuisma joined the baund as the rhythm guitarist in 2006 an Lead guitarist Tomy Laisto joined the baund in 2007. Jarkko Kokko left the baund in 2009.

On 30 Aprile 2011 the baund annooncit on their wabsteid that Andy Gillion haed been recruitit as the first replacement guitarist. On September 29 the baund annooncit on their wabsteid that Andhe Chandler haed been recruitit as the seicont replacement guitarist.
