She is the 2010 Winter Olympic siller medallist, a twa-time (2008 an 2010) Warld champion, the 2007 Warld siller medallist, 2013 Warld bronze medallist, a three-time (2008, 2010, an 2013) Fower Continents champion, a three-time (2005–2006, 2008–2009, 2012–2013) Grand Prix Feenal champion, the 2005 Warld Junior champion, the 2004–2005 Junior Grand Prix Final champion an a sax-time (2006–2010, 2012–2013) Japanese naitional champion.

An umwhile prodigy, Asada is the fift woman an the first junior girl tae laund the triple aixel, accomplishin this feat at the 2004–2005 Junior Grand Prix Final. She wan her first Grand Prix Final at the age o 15. Despite bein widely considered the best feegur skeitcher at the time, Asada wis ruled too young tae compete at the 2006 Winter Olympics bi 87 days.
