Joe Davis OBE (15 April 1901 – 10 July 1978) wis an Inglis professional snooker an Inglis billiards player. He wis the dominant figure in snooker frae the 1920s to the 1950s. He won the first 15 Warld Championships frae 1927 to 1946.

After his 1946 victory he no longer played in the Warld Championship but continued to play in other tournaments an exhibition matches until 1964. He was Warld Billiards Champion four times between 1928 and 1932.
