Heydar Aliyev Foundation
The Heydar Aliyev Foundation (Azerbaijani: Heydər Əliyev Fondu) is a non-profit organization heided bi Azerbaijan's First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva. The foundation is namit in honor o Azerbaijan's former leader, Preses o Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev (1923–2003), who wis the faither o Aliyeva's husband, the current Preses o Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. The heidquarters o the Heydar Aliyev Foundation is located in the Azerbaijani caipital ceety Baku.[1]

The foundation wis created in 2004, tae protect the legacy o the preses an support a nummer o eddicational an charitable projects.[2] The aim o the foundation is tae develop eddication, heal services, airts, cultur, promote Azerbaijan abroad, protect Azerbaijani cultural heritage an improve the well-bein o the fowk.[3]
