Ronald Reagan wis inaugurated as the 40th Preses o the Unitit States on 20 Januar 1981. An inauguration is a ceremony that marks the beginnin of a politician takin office.

This inauguration marked the beginning of Reagan's echt years as Preses. George H. W. Bush wis inaugurated as Vice Preses.

Reagan took the oath of office at the inauguration ceremony. This is an oath every Preses must take before takin office. Chief Justice Warren E. Burger administered the oath.
