In 2005 Dawn of Azazel got major media coverage in New Zealand, for vocalist Rigel Walshe's other occupation, that being o Constable in the New Zealand Police Force. The media jumpit on the idea o a public servant singin in a metal baund wi the vera violent leerics contained in Dawn of Azazel CDs. Nae offeecial action was taken, however, because he did not mix his passion wi his day job. The coverage stairtit as an expose in New Zealand Sunday paper Sunday Star Times. There wis primetime TV coverage on TV3's 6 o'clock news an aw, spairkin ower 43,000 hits on their wabsteid ower a 24 oor period. The story featured on CNN an aw. The day, Rigel laughs aboot the incident, claimin "You can't buy that kind of publicity."[2]
