Catamarca (Spaingie pronunciation: [kataˈmarka]) is a province o Argentinae, locatit in the northwast o the kintra. The province haes a population o 334,568 as per the 2001 census [INDEC], an covers an aurie o 102,602 km². Its leeteracy rate is 95.5%. Neebourin provinces are (clockwise, frae the north): Salta, Tucumán, Santiago del Estero, Córdoba, an La Rioja. Tae the wast it borders Chile.
