Christopher Lee Rios (November 10, 1971 – February 7, 2000),[1][2] better kent bi his stage name Big Pun (short for Big Punisher), wis an American rapper. Emergin frae the underground hip hop scene in The Bronx borough o New York Ceety in the early 1990s, he wis the first Latino rapper tae have an album certified platinum as a solo act.

He debuted as a guest rapper on Fat Joe's 1995 album Jealous One's Envy, then appeared on Flesh-N-Bone's solo album T.H.U.G.S. in 1996 an The Beatnuts' 1997 album Stone Crazy afore signin wi Loud Records as a solo artist. Pun's lyrics are notable for technical efficiency, having minimal pauses tae take a breath, heavy use o alliteration as well as internal an multi-syllabic rhymin schemes.
