Mairch o the Volunteers is the naitional anthem o the Fowkrepublic o Cheenae (includin the Hong Kong Special Admeenistrative Region syne 1 July 1997, an the Macau Special Administrative Region syne 20 December 1999), written bi the poet an playwricht Tian Han wi muisic componed bi Nie Er. This composeetion is a muisical mairch. The piece wis first performed as pairt o a 1934 Shanghai play an its oreeginal lyrics are the offeecial lyrics o the naitional anthem. In 2004, a provision that the Mairch o the Volunteers be the naitional anthem wis addit tae the Constitution o the Fowkrepublic o Cheenae as Article 136.[5]
