Gilan Province

Gilan (Persian: گيلان Gilān) is ane o the provinces o Iran. It lies alang the Caspian Sea, juist wast o the province o Mazandaran, east o the province o Ardabil, north o the provinces o Zanjan and Qazvin.
The northren pairt o the province is pairt o territory o Sooth (Iranian) Talysh. At the center o the province is the main ceety o Rasht. Ither touns in the province include Astara, Astaneh-e Ashrafiyyeh, Fuman, Lahijan, Langrud, Masouleh, Manjil, Rudbar, Roudsar, Shaft, Talesh, an Soumahe Sara.
The main harbor port o the province is Bandar-e Anzali (previously Bandar-e Pahlavi).
