The banner haes fower colours: blue, green, an twa forms o yellow (staundart yellow for the middle baund an wha the Pantone seestem caws "sun yellow" for the sun).
The blue baund represents happiness an peace, the yellow baund seembolizes economic development, an the green baund seembolizes the hope o prosperity. The sun represents enlichtenment.[1]

The banner wis chynged acause it haed become associatit wi the brutality o the Rwandan Genocide.[1]
