(Speakers o the nearly extinct Elotepec Zapotec hae 70% unnerstaundin o Zaniza, but it is no kent if the reverse is true,[2] so this mey be a question o familiarity.)

The leid is spoken in Santa María Zaniza, Oaxaca.[3] As o 2003, the leid haed aboot 400 fluent speakers.[4] It is spoken in Santiago Textitlán an aw.[5]
